Hotels
Hotels run around the clock and hire people for many different roles: welcoming guests at the front desk, preparing rooms, helping with luggage or serving breakfast. Most of these jobs are open to people with no experience — what employers want is someone who already understands how a hotel works and what good guest service looks like.
Our hotel courses explain the daily routines of each role in plain language: check-in and check-out, room status, guest privacy, cleaning standards, reporting problems and staying safe. Study for free, pass the 20-question test and add a verifiable certificate to your CV.

Choosing a course
A hotel receptionist welcomes guests at the front desk, checks them in and out, manages reservations, takes payments and answers questions throughout the stay. Receptionists are the guest's main point of contact and work closely with housekeeping, maintenance and management.
Hotel Receptionist CertificateA front desk agent runs the hotel's front office during a shift: arrivals and departures, room allocation, guest requests, payments and the handover to the next shift. The role is close to that of a receptionist, with more focus on shift routines and coordination with other departments.
Front Desk Agent CertificateA guest services agent helps hotel guests with anything that makes their stay easier: information, local recommendations, bookings, transport and special requests. The role is concierge-style and is about anticipating needs and following every request through to the end.
Guest Services CertificateHousekeepers keep a hotel clean, safe and comfortable — guest rooms, corridors and public areas. They follow a set cleaning sequence and standard, handle linen and cleaning products safely, respect guest privacy and report damage or maintenance issues.
Housekeeping CertificateA room attendant cleans and prepares a set number of hotel rooms each shift so they are ready for guests. The job is about turning rooms around quickly while keeping to the hotel's standard, working safely and reporting anything that needs attention.
Room Attendant CertificateA hotel porter — also called a bellhop or bell attendant — welcomes guests at the entrance, carries luggage to and from rooms, and helps with directions, taxis and deliveries. Porters are often the first and last person a guest meets, so friendliness and a professional presence matter.
Hotel Porter CertificateA breakfast attendant runs the morning food service in a hotel: setting up and refilling the buffet, serving hot drinks, clearing and resetting tables and keeping food safe. Shifts start early and need a calm, organised approach during the busiest hour.
